I'm married to Dr Shana Rush, who beyond all her professional talents is a truly wonderful person. We love the outdoors and working together on our home.
I have two daughters: Abby is in college, and Belle is in high school.
My hobbies include tai chi (I taught an introductory course a few years ago... if you think it looks hard to do you should try teaching it!), archery, cooking (the pages are falling out of Julia Child's The Way to Cook), barbecue, and backpacking. I still entertain delusions that someday I'll write a novel.
Dr. A.J. Rush: “Finally, I am very proud and happy to again share workspace with my wife, Dr Shana Rush. For me she is my soulmate, the person I turn to for strength, but for everyone else she is simply the best pediatric neuropsychologist they have ever heard of. Truly 'the child whisperer.'”
I like what I do. It can be fascinating, exhilarating, and truly uplifting.
Sometimes I have something to say about it.
